The 23rd edition of Ecomondo is getting close, it will be held from 5th to 8th November at the Rimini Expo Center and the initiatives activated by the organizers, to promote the exhibition and to give it an even more ecological footprint, will be multiplied.

Since the 90s Ecomondo has been working together with companies, institutions, research centers and leading experts, to encourage the development of circular economy and support innovation and technologies for a more sustainable future. This year it has decided to take another step forward: building the Ecomondo Forest together with all those who wish to contribute.

In order to realize this project, Ecomondo turned to Treedom, the only web platform in the world where you can long-distance plant a tree and follow it online. Whoever wants to, can buy a tree and plant it in the Ecomondo "forest", or in any other forest all over the planet, helping to make it grow. To date, in the Ecomondo forest there are already 150 trees.

Treedom was born in 2010 in Florence and it has already planted more than 600,000 trees in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Italy. The trees, which are planted directly by local farmers, help to produce environmental, social and economic benefits. It works like a sort of long-distance adoption that the plant’s "parent" can follow day by day on a dedicated online page: your tree will be geo-localized and photographed; you can keep it to yourself or dedicate it to someone else; you can follow the first moments of its life and accompany it until the transplantation, knowing its characteristics and its meaning.

Thanks to "Cattura CO2" which can be used on the platform, you can find out how much CO2 your tree is emitting every day and how much of it can capture. Therefore, Treedom’s trees have the power to involve, raising awareness about environmental and deforestation issues that maybe people didn’t know. At the same time the platform stands as a communication and marketing tool for companies or realities, as with Ecomondo, that want to join the project. This is how projects and solutions focused on corporate forests come to life, in addition to trees as a gift to get the stakeholders involved, estimate and CO2 compensation, and eco gadget for events.
