A survey to collect the
greater possible number of information about initiatives and projects related
to urban vegetation ecosystems. The initiative is launched as part of the
European project Life VEG-GAP, which has the main objective of developing a strategy
to provide new reliable information, in order to support the design of air quality urban plans, considering the
characteristics of urban vegetation ecosystems.
The contribution of all
those who deal, or have dealt, with the planning, monitoring or the reporting
of these initiatives is, therefore, very important in order to bring order and
clarity on the multiple real impacts of urban vegetation ecosystems on cities’
air quality. But even those who simply know or have dealt with this kind of
projects can make their own contribution of knowledge.
Projects that make use of
Nature-Based-Solution are particularly relevant (NBS - actions to protect,
sustainably manage and restore natural or modified ecosystems, which face
societal challenges in an effective and adaptive way, while providing benefits
for human health and biodiversity).
Therefore, the invitation
consists in spending a few minutes of your time to fill out the questionnaire
at this link,
concerning both projects and initiatives already concluded and still in
progress.
The information collected
will be really valuable and it will contribute in drawing up the Project Report
for the European Commission, which will also be available to the scientific
community, political and administrative authorities and citizens.
