The VEG-GAP project was presented at Ecomondo,
one of the most important European events dedicated to the ecological
transition and to the new models of circular and regenerative economy, that
took place in Rimini (Italy) on the 27th of
October. During the conference "Air pollution: the situation,
control measures, risks and prevention policies" Mihaela Mircea of Enea,
coordinator, had the opportunity to talk about the project in the presentation Evaluate the impact of urban green in an integrated
way, present and future, on the air in the city. She explained objectives and results of the project and
showed the possibilities of analyzing the effects of urban vegetation on the
temperature and concentrations of pollutants in the air offered by the
developed platform, in the Basic and Advanced versions.
The conference was an important moment of
meeting created with the aim of providing, in the light of the experiences of
the last year, a framework of the programs realised on the complex issue of
atmospheric pollution: the different technical and health related aspects, the
contribution to the knowledge of the related problems and the possible
solutions, to help expand the scientific debate.
