In Milan, on 14th December 2021,
from 10.00 to 17.30, at Cascina Cuccagna, the second Project Conference and
Networking Event of the VEG-GAP project is held. It will be an opportunity to
share the results developed concerning the role of vegetation in the three
partner cities: Milan, Bologna, and Madrid.
The VEG-GAP project aims to
develop a strategy to provide new reliable information to support the design of
air quality plans considering the characteristics of urban vegetation
ecosystems. Furthermore, starting from the research done regarding the
three-pilot cities, the event will be an occasion to explore and evaluate the
potential of Veg Gap study in other cities.
VEG-GAP project is related to other initiatives and projects
held by Milan city, such as: Air Quality Plan, Piano di Governo del Territorio
2030, forestry program – Forestami, the Resilience strategy and many other
European and national projects.
We will offer a demonstration of
these links and of the project's possible future development in other urban
areas through the event.
In particular, the day will be divided into two parts:
10.00 - 13.00 _ The cases of
Milan, Bologna and Madrid: knowledge learned and results achieved thanks to the
Veg-Gap project
The first part of the day will
be an opportunity to explore the emission scenarios of vegetation and its
direct and indirect impacts on the meteorology and air quality of the city.
14.30 - 17.30 _ Networking to
amplify results: the experiences of European Projects for vegetation and air
quality
The afternoon of the event will
be dedicated to networking with other European and national projects. Here
there will be space for the Projects to talk about their advancements, results
or methodologies, with the idea of identifying synergies and meeting points
with the VEG-GAP project.
It is mandatory to register for the
event in presence or online, here is the link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1454LjhxLH7yjdR6vv2HFY75EQs_My1nJVEsbaMRroJE/edit
